Jonas Hornblad
Jonas Hornblad was born a midget in Stockholm, Sweden. Growing up in a home with instruments always present he discovered music quite early. Although he took some piano lessons at the age of ten and then again a few years later, things didn’t really get serious until a classmate in high school showed him the software Fast Tracker. The possibility to make club music by yourself, with only a computer was something totally new to Jonas. In early 2000 he made his first attempts to produce music.
Moving on from Tracker-programs to more advanced software, Jonas made his radio debut in Swedish national radio P3 and then got in touch with DanceBEAT Records. For this label he did a few euro-disco productions/remixes. One of which made it into the Norwegian Dance Chart.
In 2005 Jonas teamed up with singer/songwriter Sanna Hartfield. This ended up in a year of more housey music. A few really good DJ/Singing performances at places like Oxid and Club Epilog in Stockholm.
A year later Jonas decided to take his DJing another step forward. In the fall 2006 and the winter 2007 he did lots of gigs at house/electro floors around Stureplan, Stockholm and then moved on to the trance scene. He has now played some of Sweden’s bigger clubs such as Sweapsound Club Session, Monday Bar and Ambition, alongside DJs like Yves Deruyter, Menno De Jong, Alex Kunnari, Tylor Leigh, Mark Eteson, Showtek etc.
As a producer his first track 'Like You' was picked up by the label Metallic Recordings (US). His second production, a co-lab with UK based AJ Hutch has already gained support by DJs such as John O'Callaghan and has now been picked up by Nu-Depth Recordings for release in early 2008 Also expect some Jonas Hornblad remixes in the near future.
