Ross Anderson – Biography

Vancouver Canada based DJ / Producer, Ross Anderson has firmly established his presence as one of the strongest emerging trance talents in the scene, building a reputation for his high energy and exciting DJ sets as well as top notch track releases. Ross is a DJ that is known for connecting with the crowd, his refined precision mixing style and high energy behind the decks. Since making the move into music production, Ross saw his first releases in 2009 being signed with Vision Control, and this was just the start of things to come.

In 2010 Ross was selected to compile and mix his first album, the Nukleuz vs Vision Control Ibiza Trance Anthems. Along with 2 of his own productions and 1 co-production on the album, it reached #34 on the iTunes Dance Charts. In the summer of 2010 Ross launched his own label Vision Control Deep. The label is to be a platform for releasing his productions and mixes and to introduce talented up and coming producers. The label's focus is on releasing high quality electronic dance music from artists around the globe. Vision Control Deep wants to provide a label which has consistency and is known for solid, quality releases. Expect big things from the new label with the first release 'Foundation' named “Record of the Week” by Above & Beyond on Trance Around the World proving to be a fantastic start. With remixes from some of the top producers in the world such as Maor Levi, Maarten De Jong, and Gleave, the label looks to be on its way.

At the start of 2011 Ross was signed to a multi-track deal by UK based Nu-Depth Recordings with his first E.P. receiving heavyweight playlist support from the likes of Andy Moor, John Askew, Activa, and Manuel Le Saux to name a few. Ross has done collaborations with several artists including Nick Rowland on Nu-Depth, Danny Taylor on Ora Recordings and Resonate, and with Shaun Gregory on his own label Vision Deep Recordings. With all this and more on the go, 2011 is shaping up to be a big year as Ross brings to the dance floor a mix of melodic harmony, driving groove and cutting edge production techniques with several more original productions and remixes in the works.

Ross has held several residencies over the years at some of Vancouver's top electronic nights; Believe Saturdays@The Redroom and Hollywood Fridays@Lotus, along with Acension Fridays@Club Viva. Ross has also played some of Vancouver's massive raves and has been consistently rocking the crowd every time he steps behind the decks. In addition, Ross has played several international gigs including London, all over Asia, and most notable being at the legendary full moon party in Thailand and The Ministry of Sound-Taipei closing for Eddie Halliwell on the “Fire it Up Tour”. Some of his career highlights over the past couple years have included playing alongside world class DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Eddie Halliwell, Thrillseekers, Cosmic Gate, Ron Van Gelderen, and Graham Gold to name a few.
